Hi Roy, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I guess I’m a late runner. I gave music a miss for nearly 8 years and re-emerged as a singer songwriter 2 and a half years ago. I do regret losing time but on the other hand happy that everything feels new and fresh to me. Spilled milk – you know the story……..
What do you sound like?
That’s a hard one. I’ll listen to Blues & Rock then Pop or even Classical so I guess I’m somewhere in between RL burnside and Chopin….
What can we expect from your performance?
I’ll be sharing the stage with Mr Phil ‘Harmonic’ Moore so there’ll be some blues harp, stomps and slide. Maybe a weird take on a cover just to mix it up. Try and give it some oomph…..
What are you working on right now?
I’m currently finalising songs for an Ep set for release in December. Ive also managed to fill out the remainder of the year with shows including festivals and road trips. At the start of next year I’ll be crossing the Tasman to play in the ‘Land of the Long White Cloud’. Just trying to spread the musical love….
