Moxi drops new single ‘Wolves’.
Up and coming LA-based Duo Moxi have already made an impact with their music, with their music being placed on shows such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians, The Young and the Restless, I Am Cait, Total Divas, and Made in Chelsea. Their last single ‘Save Me’ went viral on Spotify and I suspect this is just the beginning for this talented pair. Their latest single called ‘Wolves’ is based on a personal story of how music has assisted Anna Toy’s journey with anxiety and depression. I found ‘Wolves’ to be an honest portrayal of how music can be cathartic in this area as I too contribute my healing with music as part of the solution. The music video supports the message well with contrasting images that packs a powerful directive.
Anna explains, “I spent years in a fog of depression. The depression and anxiety made worse by insecurities that I drilled into myself, years were spent talking down to myself…Self harm was something I thought about too often and I eventually became someone I barely recognized. Fortunately, over the past few years I’ve started to realize that I am not alone in my struggle and I am grateful to say that I am SO much better now… While I’m continually mindful of the pain I used to live in, I finally understand my power and I genuinely love myself. My head is high, and I am fucking powerful.”
Music is an amazing medium, with others, like myself connecting to ‘Wolves’ it also assists Anna. I adore her vocals that are full of emotion and pulled at my heartstrings. I highly recommend listening to ‘Wolves’ here.
