Celebrate 60 Years of Pet Sounds with Original Beach Boy Al Jardine & The Pet Sounds Band!
This June, Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band will perform classic hits and deep cuts in tribute to the late Brian Wilson, alongside an extensive celebration of Pet Sounds featuring many songs from the iconic album.
It’s a show that promises to keep the good vibes and beautiful harmonies of The Beach Boys’ timeless music alive for many more years!
| 6 Quick Pet Sounds Facts 1. Pet Sounds was the Beach Boys 11th Studio album, released on May 16, 1966. 2. Pet Sounds was written as a potential James Bond theme song. 3. At the time, Pet Sounds was groundbreaking — using studio musicians, the Wrecking Crew, and costing over $70,000 to make (around $690,000 today). 4. At just 23 years old, Brian Wilson stepped away from touring and recruited advertising copywriter Tony Asher to help create Pet Sounds. 5. The album peaked at #10 on the Billboard Album chart but following Brian Wilson’s death in 2025, the album reentered the Billboard chart at its highest rank in nearly 60 years. 6. Pet Sounds was ranked #2 on the Rolling Stones Greatest 500 Albums of all times list. |
The 11 piece Pet Sounds Band features music director Darian Sahanaja plus most of the band members that toured with Brian Wilson on the Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary Tour.
The band also features Matt Jardine, who has performed with The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson for decades and has received rave reviews for his youthful Brian Wilson-like vocals on classics such as “Good Vibrations,” “God Only Knows,” “Don’t Worry Baby” and “Surf’s Up.”
