Orlando, Florida Gets Weird (Al That Is)

Weird Al Yankovic sings his "Smells like Nirvana" anthem.

Weird Al Yamkovic made a huge tour stop along with his special guest, Puddles Pity Party to a riotous and near capcity crowd at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida

Weird Al shows he’s still got the moves during “Eat It”
Weird Al Gargles his way through the music interlude of “Smells Like Nirvana”

05/29/2026 You can’t get more nostalgic about the 80’s than to go to to a Weird Al concert. To quote a certain show ‘ Back in the 80’s…” if he arranged the music as a polka and/ or rewrote the the lyrics in a way that made it impossible to hear it the same way again, you knew you it was a hit music single,. That’s what Weird Al Yankovic has been doing for decades and he continues to create some pretty great reflections into our own ridiculous norms and expectations. He is still playing to huge crowds who get him and understand the message that being weird is certainly superior to being “normal”. It is certainly moe fun. Also I am desperately hoping he does not correct my grammer. If you are a fan, you know why.

Weird Al Challenging us all to “Dare to be Stupid”
“Oh Ricky”

From his opening “Tacky” where he wandered his way through backstage, giving Puddles the clown a pie to the face, he moved, and sang his way through a 25 song set, as if no time has passed. The video clips between songs highlighted so many references to him in pop cultuire over the years, it was almost hard to nail down which one I loved the most. If I had to choose one it woudl be the clip of “Another One Rides The Bus” From “Weird – The Al Yankovic Story” featuring Daniel Radcliff as Al playing and singing to numerous celebrities, including Jack Black as a sleazy music executive FULL SET LIST BELOW Tour Dates here:

Bigger & Weirder 2026 Tour

Puddles Pity Party, did not dissapoint either. The sad clown lounge type act was the perfect warm up to what was to come. I have loved Puddles’ voice since the first time I heard him, and while the young lady near me was completely disturbed by clowns, she made it through it. Her friends didn’t tell her about the opener. He isn’t as animated and lively as Weird Al, but that is what he is. He’s the sad, depressive clown that still somehow makes our hearts happy with his gift of the velvet voice. FULL SET LIST BELOW

The Kia Center as awlays makes for a great music vneue with ample seating and great views. Food and drink options are terrific with average pricing for this type of event. Parking is at a premium and I highly reccommend pre paid, as options get very limited prior to these larger shows. If you want a short walk and easy access, the garage is the way to go. Many streets are one way access so plan extra time and alternate routes into Church Street Station.
