ELOCIRAPTOR Premiere new single ‘Dollarmite’ + Announce National Tour Dates

Velociraptor made an album and subsequently, they hit the big time. The high life was good but now they get to do music for fun again instead of strictly for more luxury cars. So here it is. The brand new single ‘Dollarmite‘, as premiered last night on triple j‘s Good Nights. 

To get the vibe just right – the team once again joined forces with engineer / mix master Cameron Smith (Velociraptor S/T EP, World Warriors Mini-LP) because “sometimes you need to reunite the past to save the future” sounded like a cool tag-line for a movie.

‘Dollarmite’ is about growing up in an unstable home environment and its direct effect on early adulthood. It references the golden times of the Commonwealth Bank’s Dollarmite scheme and the glory of the Sega Megadrive, before heading into the darker territory of anxiety, the trials of self-improvement attempts and an overarching fear of death. 

But hey. Don’t worry. It all worked out just fine.
