DRIVEN FEAR RELEASE ANGRY, ANIMATED FILMCLIP FOR NEW SINGLE CRISIS
Those boys in Driven Fear don’t waste no time. After triumphantly taking out the AFENDS band comp, filming and releasing a clip for album banger Fireball (Mr Sinister) alongside the AFENDS crew and releasing their album ‘Freethinker’ on February 26, mere weeks later, they have done support shows with Strung Out and now have a brand new single and clip for their warning anthem from the album – CRISIS.

DRIVEN FEAR “Crisis” – Single Play Length: 00:03:49 Genre: Punk/Hardcore Hometown: Gold Coast, Australia Touring: TBA Single/Album/EP: |
The clip features vocalist Tim Hyde getting the messages across – angrily – alongside animated imagery of greed, corruption and power-hungry tyrants. Dollar signs, War-mongers, Death, Destruction and Anarchy permeate the senses and Driven Fear make no bones about what they think of it with the clip. The song and the album both make a headlong statement that power in the hands of corrupt, greedy and self-serving leaders will lead the world into a crisis that we cannot return from.
Driven Fear has shared the stage with punk/hardcore stalwarts such as such as Sick of it All, The Amity Affliction, Shai Hulud, Death Before Dishonor, The Ghost Inside, Pour Habit, Toe To Toe, Break Even, Against and Ignite.
The album was recorded and mixed by long time friend Sam Johnson (The Smith Street Band, The Bennies, Toe to Toe, Mindsnare) across three different studios and over almost 2 years.
‘Freethinker’ is aggressive and insightful Punk/Hardcore for fans of bands in the vein of Comeback Kid,Good Riddance and Defeater. The record is now available everywhere and Crisis is track 3.
LOVE FOR DRIVEN FEAR’S ALBUM ‘FREETHINKER’
“The decade or so they’ve spent slugging it out on the Australian scene have given Driven Fear a self-assuredness that makes Freethinker powerful and compelling.” – HYSTERIA MAG
“The album is gutsy, aggressive, purely riff charged and is an album that pushes the boundaries, therefore it needs to be turned up…LOUD.”
– Melbourne Live
“Brisbane boys Driven Fear are at the helm of a thriving hardcore scene in their southeast Queensland locale that shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.” – The Music
“‘Freethinker’ is straight fire. From start to finish. This onslaught of riffs, high impact lyrics and energy is one of the best locally produced albums I have heard in ages.” – My Indie Australia
