ELLA FERDINANDS RELEASES NEW SINGLE,’ SPELLBOUND’
Brisbane singer/songwriter, Ella Ferdinands, had a successful 2015 with her debut single, Dapper Love, which enjoyed airplay on Brisbane’s hit station Hit105.
Now Ella returns with the sophomore single release in the form of ‘Spellbound’ which takes Ella away from her pop/dance roots that was Dapper Love and dabble in to balladry with raw vocal tones and a slower tempo creating emotion and showing a mature Ferdinands.
“It’s about a love that wants to work, but can’t because of so many different reasons,” says Ella. The song is set within its first lyric “we’ve come to learn that you and I are wrong“. “The heart wants what it can’t have, and it can’t accept that it can’t have it,” adds Ella.
The accompanying music video has been created by local Brisbane Videographer Connor O’Connor and canvases a natural and honest picture
A seasoned performer since the age of 15, Ella trained at the Queensland Young Conservatorium, as a lead vocalist in the Jazz ensemble and then went on to complete a two-year musical theatre internship. With a smooth and soulful, R&B voice, Ella’s vocals are effortless.
