SARAH CONNOR MAKING UP HISTORY AS SHE GOES ALONG PREMIERES NEW SINGLE ‘APEX”

Sarah Connor has already established herself as a dominant force in Australian hip- hop in a short time, and her bouncy new single “APEX”, premiered online today on Howl & Echoes, shows no consideration to giving up the throne she’s taken for herself as one of the country’s pre-eminent female hip hop artists.
The intro for “APEX” pushes the listener directly into Sarah’s vocal onslaught, with spitting verses alternating between a rallying call to lovers and an unfazed fuck you to the haters, and a stacked, grimey, hard hitting chorus…“APEX” is an inspirational and connective creed from Australia’s one woman army.
Bursting onto the scene by taking the crowning glory at Briggs’ Sheplife King of the Town competition in 2014, Sarah has since commanded strong triple j and triple j Unearthed support over both of her last two singles (“KILLBILL” and “Coma State”), won the Hilltop Hoods/APRA AMCOS artist initiative, and gained praise for her energetic, hard hitting live shows supporting titans of the genre including (but not limited to) Common, Talib Kweli, Dylan Joel, Thundamentals, Kerser…not to mention the opening triple j Unearthed slot at Come Together 2015, as well as an upcoming slot opening for Seth Sentry at his Sydney show.
“APEX” is taken from Sarah Connor’s upcoming debut EP, featuring epic vocals from soul singer Natalie Slade and an onslaught of local and international production by Lou Koo, Jaytee Hazard, Jesse Marantz and ILL 86.
