Sunny Coast legends Bearfoot are not just Dreamers. Today they have released their brand new EP and they are bringing the whole TRIBE. The EP, out today, is available now to stream online (premiered today at TheMusic.com.au) the EP “Tribe” will see it’s launch tonight at Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane, which also corresponds with the start of their tour around the laid-back, vibin’ as hell collection of tracks, laid down between three producers and studios.
Since Bearfoot released their first single, ‘Babylon’ back in February 2015 and 2016 Queensland Music Award-winning single ‘Impolite’ in late 2015, the band has been working towards putting the Tribe EP together. A collection of tracks that have been festival-proven time and time again and a dedication to those that had supported, nurtured, mentored and inspired them – the Vibe Tribe – that is, those who stand for a creative culture, with their fists in the air, white knuckled, loud voices, and dancing feet.
‘Babylon’ was produced by Dave Harper at The Vault Studio on the Sunshine Coast.
‘Impolite’ – a crowd favourite – produced by Paulie B at Tanuki Lounge. Locking themselves into the West End Studio for a few days, the band re-emerged, tired yet triumphant. ‘Impolite’ hit hard with massive hooks, bubbling keys, and a bouncing rhythm section. Tracks ‘Could Be Worse’ and ‘Dreamer’ were also Paulie B/Tanuki Lounge productions. These two tracks are the yin yang of the EP – one light, one dark – and one can’t ignore the awesome Mr Boogie’s cameo, recorded on Voicemail.
While Paulie B mastered his productions as well (‘Impolite’, ‘Could Be Worse’ and ‘Dreamer’), Bearfoot chose Paul Blakey at 12th & Vine in Broadbeach to master the rest of the EP.
Bearfoot are taking the EP out on the road to clubs and festivals throughout July to October, including stops at Black Bear Lodge, Sol Bar, Caloundra Music Festival and The Triffid.
