The Stanleys release single “Amy” + announce new album & international tour with cheeky Perth date

Legendary Perth rockers The Stanleys have announced their debut self titled album (released on Friday, October 6) and have released the lead single Amy; an upbeat, tune that’s sure to get you ready for Summer!

To celebrate the release of their debut album and Amy, these Perth rockers will be going far with a massive 23 date international tour, and a final hometown gig on Saturday, November 25.

A debut album has been a long time coming for The Stanleys, they’ve been a staple in the Perth music scene for years making their live debut in July, 2011 but this album will be a defining moment. 

“We set out to write an upbeat energetic, fun time, sing out loud album of power pop anthems; best played in sunshine. Turn it up, sing along int he car, shower, bedroom. Dance like its just you and The Stanleys,”  said The Stanleys lead, Mark Di Renzo.

The single Amy is a perfect introduction to the album, a dancing rock track about love and dreaming.

“Amy is an upbeat pop, punktastic plea of love. It’s about a guy with a very big crush on his best female friend and wants her to be the one. Its full of bright sparked energetic guitars,” said Di Renzo.

The Stanleys are no stranger to hitting the road, especially not overseas but this tour will be a mammoth undertaking for them, all culminating in a massive homecoming show on Saturday, November 25. 

“We’re super excited to get on the road again. I really can’t believe this with be our seventh tour of the US, we’ve made so many friends over there, now its become a little like a second home,” said Di Renzo.
