Jean Castel releases “What Happened to Us”, a pop tune that is a must listen to!
Jean Castel’s smooth voice is one of the best I have heard for a long time. I love a song with a great story behind it. Listen to feel the same as I did when I first heard it. I will be following Jean’s career closely.
“What Happened to Us” is a driving, four-to-the-floor pop song, telling the story of an estranged love gone sour. The track features Jean’s signature voice, which conveys heartache and passion with each pensive lyric. Mixed by the Multi-Grammy Award Winning Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, & Julia Michaels) and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Vince Staples, Rihanna, & Twenty-One Pilots). “What Happened to Us” is the second single to be released off of Castel’s forthcoming EP, “Orange & Yellow”, due in Spring 2018.
.Hailing from Bordeaux, France, Castel deftly transfuses his unique vocal style with urban pop soundscapes. “In the Late Night” strikes immediately, with a sound that paints a picture of city lights, while Jean’s vocals croon atop the percussive groove. Inspired by artists such as Kanye West and The Beatles, Castel’s debut comes after traveling from France to the US. He has found a home in Los Angeles, collaborating with some of the top creatives in the industry. His upcoming EP, “Orange & Yellow”, will be released winter, 2018.
