Hein Cooper releases  ‘Hear My Voice’.

‘Hear My Voice’ is a haunting reminder that we need to dig deep and find the real us. Life in 2018 takes a toll on the real us. Time for some introspection guided by Hein Cooper. This song is best listened to with headphones to get the real experience of Hein’s beautiful voice. So when it is time to try and find the real you hit play on this song.

Sydney based singer/songwriter Hein Cooper (vocals, guitar, keys) has just revealed his new single ‘Hear My Voice’ which has been co-produced by Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, James Hersey) and is being released via independent label Indica Records (Half Moon Run, Phantogram)

‘Hear My Voice’ was written in the UK during  Cooper’s  recent 6-month stay living in Cornwall. His  new single is essentially a song about falsehoods and self-constructed versions of ourselves and shows Cooper exploring a dialogue with himself.   This song is about my experiences of hiding behind a version of myself that I’ve built up in a fantasy influenced by all the information thrown at us in 2018. It’s a conversation that I’m having with myself, basically saying: ‘Are you in there? Coz the guy answering the door is an arsehole and there’s gotta be someone else I can talk too!’

Since the release of his debut album ‘The Art of Escape’ back in late 2016, Cooper has taken his live talents around the world, performing in over 140 shows throughout America, Europe and the UK, including tour supports with James Bay and Lukas Graham. This intense touring schedule was then followed by a much needed 6-month break living in Cornwall, where Cooper holed himself up and began writing his new material which build upon his indie pop roots but adding more electronic and R&B elements. Cooper cites artists like Frank Ocean and Chet Faker in helping inspire his latest release plus other new upcoming material for his upcoming headline shows nationally in April and May. I think a pop song can be incredibly poetic and still clear, and also be an exciting mix of genres. That’s what I’ve aimed for throughout some of my new music.”

You can catch Hein Cooper live at the following UK dates in 2018 with more to be added soon.

May 11 – Exeter @ Exeter Cavern

May 12 – Truro @ Old Bakery Studios
