Josefine Landelius releases new single ‘Mariette’.

 Swedish Singer/Songwriter Josefine Landelius has written a beautiful song about her Grandmother called Mariette and her choices in life which lead to Josefine existence. This is a song with a unique twist, as most songs I hear are about encouragement to follow your dreams but in Mariette’s case she did not. Dreaming of leaving Stockholm and moving to America was Mariette’s dream but just before she did she met the love of her life and stayed. Her decision, which would have been difficult to make, led to a family which of course means Josefine’s who existence. This is a story that I enjoyed learning about and really got me thinking of decisions my ancestors made to be Australian pioneers. Of course as always with Josefine Landelius songs there is her beautiful vocal sound and range. A thought provoking song. You can check out ‘Mariette’ here.
