House Fire release first single ‘Wake Up (Sad)’.

Multi-instrumentalist George Stribling and vocalist Desiree McCann have teamed up to from a duo called House Fire. The last two years they have been writing together but from afar. Their first single released together called ‘Wake Up (Sad)’ is indie pop at its absolute best. I love the unique music and the variation in vocals. The guitar driven song has a contrast in the music that makes me feel happy yet it has dark lyrics. The song is a look at the sadness of breaking up with someone and then falling in love with someone else. I am looking forward to the release of their upcoming EP ‘Hotel’ to hear more songs like ‘Wake Up (Sad)’. Check it out here.
