TOP ARIA CHARTS WITH RELEASE OF FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘SURRENDER’ – OUT NOW PICK UP TWO ARIA NOMINATIONS FOR BEST GROUP BEST DANCE RELEASE

Grammy-nominated live-electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL have today announced they’ll be bringing their larger-than-life live show home to play for Aussie fans at outdoor venues in 2022. Set to light up Brisbane Showgrounds on November 26, the tour will then take in Sydney’s The Domain on December 2, Adelaide’s Ellis Park/Tampawardli on December 10 and Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on December 15, before finishing up at Perth’s Langley Park on December 17.

The tour announcement comes off the back of what has been a mammoth few weeks for the band, dropping their anticipated fourth studio album Surrender which debuted at the top of the ARIA charts last week, picking up ARIA nominations for Best Group and Best Dance Release, performing On My Knees on Jimmy Kimmell Live!, headlining some of America’s biggest festivals Governors Ball (NYC), Austin City Limits, III Points Miami and Outside Lands San Francisco, before kicking off their extensive North American tour later this month, which will see them play to 70,000 in LA alone.

RÜFÜS DU SOL has also announced they are giving one super fan and a friend the opportunity of a lifetime to go on tour with the band across all five shows in Australia, picking up flights, hotels, VIP tickets and more. To win, fans must register for the Artist Presale here and be the highest point scorer before 11.59PM AEDT on Sunday 7 November. Valued at over $10,000, this epic rollout and top prize package delivery will be a first for the band.  Runners up prizes also include merch packs, VIP double passes and access to a secret presale to guarantee tickets from Monday 8 November at 11am local time.

The Artist Presale (get involved here) opens at 12PM local time on Monday 8 November, and general public tickets will go on sale here at 12PM local time on Tuesday 9 November.

“We’re coming home, finally!” beams the band,“And we’re bringing the biggest production we’ve ever toured with and we couldn’t be more excited about it.  We’ve planned four different tours of Australia and New Zealand since 2019 and haven’t been able to announce any of them.  We wanted to make sure when we announce a show, it’s gonna happen and we are confident this tour is happening and we’re are going to make up for lost time with you all.”

Surrender represents a new chapter in the world that the band has been shaping and nurturing since its inception. Built on their own terms as they travel down their own distinct sonic lane, they expertly bridge the gap between their electronic roots and prowess as live musicians. The record demonstrates a bolder and braver sound than they’ve created in the past, a result of a culmination of influences from Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails to Moderat and Jon Hopkins. Previously released singles from Surrender have already racked up almost 50 million combined streams across platforms, illustrating the excessive demand for the band’s return and anticipation for the full record. From the yearning for love and romance in Surrender’s opening track Next To Me, to the hopeful emotions portrayed in Alive, and the anguished sense of On My Knees; the album once again demonstrates RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ability to separate themselves from other stadium-selling live artists, writing songs that consistently enthral the individual just as successfully as a crowd of thousands.

Busy honing their show in the US, Australia is in for a guaranteed treat when RÜFÜS DU SOL are finally able to bring Surrender down under in 2022, offering fans a unique opportunity to accompany them into their world.

Tickets to the Surrender tour are on sale here at 12PM local time on Tuesday 9 November
