1. SAFETY CLUB

Nepotistic pick #1 – I lived with Al, and I went to college with Shan. But these Brissie boys are supremely talented, and they have a cinematic vision for their work that’s rare.

2.            HARPER BLOOM

Nepotistic pick #2 – I’ve played bass for Harper live on and off since 2020. But I can’t help but add her, because she’s got a great heart, and that’s reflected in her bubbly, earworm indie-folk tunes.

3.            ELIZABETH

I’m not sure why ‘the wonderful world of nature’ didn’t garner more attention. Elizabeth exudes the confidence of a celebrated veteran, and she has wonderfully incisive lyrics.

4.            PINCH POINTS

Saw this raucous bunch at BIGSOUND festival in 2019, and it was so much fun! Rambunctious and smart, what a combo.

5.            LUCY SUGERMAN

Lucy supported us in Canberra as part of our ‘Montreux’ single tour, and blew us all away. Without question, one of the best young voices in Australia. Can’t wait to see her develop her artistry.
