2 Shadows Glen Bridden Has A Passionate Conversation About Music, TikTok and Waffles

Starting as a teen, in Canada, Glen Bridden began playing guitar originally, but fate had other plans.
He got an offer to play bass on tour and has never looked back. Right now two shadows is aptly named with only he and Tryst Germain as the current permanent members. While his first love remains guitar he keeps the faith and has settled nicely into his role. To say he is brilliant would not be an understatement. Having been allotted as much time to talk as I wanted, I feel as if I picked his brain more than most, and found him to be quite intelligent if not awkward about discussing himself. It got particularly awkward when he discussed his “nostalgic feelings” about Linkin Park, and I got compared to his parents. It was a great laugh. I don’t hide that I’ve been around this world for a long time. Everyone knows nostalgia for me is Tiger Beat (Google it). Many of the up and coming artists are younger than my son, and that’s ok with me, When it came to the band, he was extremely passionate. You can tell this is his first love.
“MAD GOD” was completed in 48 hours, WIth a back and forth via internet sharing. He was so animated while talking about it, it was difficult to take notes on everything as I was just engrossed in his storytelling.
“We usually capture the more intense, heavy weight trauma, but this song was a more grandiose, general view thing. It was rewarding to create something good. All of these amazing people fall into like these weird traps (*sic booze and drugs) and just in the last ten years there’s been all the dystopia. Taking a look at the world and you’re kinda of medication, but you’re not because it’s just masking the problem. Especially with like prescription drugs it’s like in this weird way, for better or worse, they all escape reality.”
Recently 2 Shadows is on a roll. They are flirting with the landmark half million followers number on TikTok:
He discussed what they are thinking while making these little snippets into their not so private lives. He sidestepped the question of what the most embarrassing thing that has happened that most likely won’t be on social media. A dissapointment, but also if it isn’t making social media, there’s probably a reason. Saying the most embarrassing thing for him is to get mad, because he just doesn’t really get mad very often.
While traveling around on tour, they frequent classic diners. “Tryst is the diner guy. All the food is similar, but different enough, That home cooked vibe. Greasy kinda of bacony sausage or like some sugary waffles.” I mention Waffle House, and shockingly, he’s never been there. ” I love waffles and we plan to go but something always happens.” His favorite diner meal is a waffle combo, but he will settle for pancakes if he’s desperate. Keep a lookout on their TikTok for their ongoing adventures, music updates, and possibly Glen’s first Waffle House visit.
