Babymetal Kicks Off US Tour In Orlando

Babymetal brought their sold out show to the Hark Rock Live Orlando to an enthusiastic crowd of thousands.

Sometimes you just need to get out and have some fun. No more so than  while awaiting the return of the election results this past Tuesday. Trying to avoid all of the drama has been tenuous at best for months. Babymetal was exactly what people needed to just spend the night with fun music great choreography and the united spirit.

Upon arrival the lines wrapped around the perimeter of the Hard Rock Cafe area at universal studios. I spoke with several people and some had been in line since 4:00 p.m. that afternoon, just trying to make their way to the front of the stage first. The doors did not open until 7:00 p.m

There is no question that babymetal has solidified their place in pop culture and they’re actually good at it.  Having been following the group for the last 8 years I’ve come to learn they’re very polished they’re very professional and they deliver a great performance consistently. Slight changes in the set list do occur. However until there’s new music it tends to remain similar. They’ve traded in their brightly colored costumes for some rather gorgeous iridescent fabric which the camera doesn’t really capture as well as one would hope.

Their audiences have remained undying loyal to them since their first trip to the US. Now some of their earlier fans are bringing their children to the show.  Becoming a multigenerational band is something all artists strive to achieve. Babymetal has done it in a very short amount of time.

The question is how long will this magic last. Given the current state of the tour and the number of sold out shows it could indicate a very long career for them.
