Hairball Silver Anniversary is Pure 80’s Gold

Not everyone likes to live in the past, or do they?, Eighties Metal hasn’t been any hotter than it is right now. 

This is evident with the massive crowds and sell out shows that are all over the Hairball social media pages. The high energy show brought the house down at the Wide Open Saloon in Sedalia, Co. Though they have been around in various membership for Twenty Five years, this may be the hottest line up of homage artists they’ve had!

Each show is a bit different with many artists portrayed. This one in particular featured, Kiss, AC/ DC, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Queen and a tribute performance of Ozzy Osborne that, first had everyone in tears and ended with “Crazy Train”. It left everyone gasping for breath and still wanting more.

One thing I can say about the mostly over forty crowd ( Side note: I’ve not had so many people tell me they don’t Instagram ) is that it didn’t matter how old they were, they were feeding off this band’s energy and giving it back ten fold. No one including me went home unsatisfied.

The performance is a work of art, from the spot on make up and costuming to how much each person becomes the artist. They aren’t projecting, so much as channeling the personalities and stage presence. People got lost in the moment reliving the concerts they saw, some sharing with their kids who will never experience that kind of pure heart pounding, hit making, monster artists at the height of their careers. Even the rain couldn’t dampen the mood or the energy and pure love of music from the stage or the crowd.

From a personal perspective, I can tell you, I tend to take more photographs when I truly enjoy a show. It took me a very long time to get to the images in this article. If you get the opportunity to witness this show it is definitely as do not miss, if you can get a ticket , that is.
