Move over Miley Cyrus – there’s a new hot mess on the block. Before they hit the road on their headline tour next week Moses Gunn Collective today dropped the too-hot-to-handle second single from their debut album “Mercy Mountain” out this Friday (via Create/Control).

‘Hot Mess’ by name sh-t-hot mess by nature, the track is an undeniably instantaneous 2:17mins of low-fi riffs, scratchy feedback and catchy AF ‘ooh-oohs’ and ‘aah-aahs’ to boot.

Either way it’s this acceptance of the mess – and devotion to it – that pulls hardest on our heart strings. This one goes out to all the hot little messes out there. The short and sweet banger had crowds dancing like showponies on the band’s recent tour with The Jungle Giants and is set to do the same all over again when the five-piece’s national “Mercy Mountain” tour kicks off in Byron Bay on Saturday 15 August.
The tour also takes in stops in Sydney, Melbourne and their hometown, Brisbane, before wrapping on the Sunshine Coast. With a reputation for unforgettable live shows complete with DIY costumes, enviable and semi-professional dance moves and a whole heap of fun tickets are selling fast!
After establishing themselves as local favourites in the Brisbane music scene, MGC gained national and international exposure with their recent EP “Morning Shakes” and the singles ‘Shalala’ and ‘Mary’, scoring rotation on triple j and community stations around Australia and critical acclaim throughout the international blog community.
