OTIS HIGH STAKE A CLAIM ON MELBOURNE WITH DEBUT SINGLE ‘WELCOME HOME’
Otis High have stepped forward to stake a claim on the (03) area code with their debut single, “Welcome Home” premiered on TheMusic.com.au. Otis High are the new project of Melbourne hip-hop party starters DJ Marshall and MC MHz, formerly known as The D.Y.E.
“Welcome Home”, the first track from the newly minted duo’s upcoming EP, transplants their live and energetic party sound into the studio, combining it with a love letter to their hometown of Melbourne. Giving a street level tour through the Garden State, “Welcome Home” punches through with an old-school scratchy beat underlying MHz’s dynamic delivery.
After proving their live chops with The D.Y.E’s appearances at Pushover festival, St Kilda Festival, and Melbourne Music Week (alongside powerhouses Allday and L-Fresh The Lion), Otis High are gearing up to launch “Welcome Home” at Boney on Friday, the 12th of August – shortly after a Tasmanian trip to support Seth Sentry on his “1969 Campaign Trail” Tour.
“WELCOME HOME” IS AVAILABLE FROM THE 8th OF JULY VIA iTUNES, SPOTIFY, AND GOOGLE PLAY.
