Twelve Foot Ninja have announced the support act for their 4-date OUTLIER tour. Melbourne’s Acolyte joins the whole run. Locals may also join the shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Newcastle.
Twelve Foot Ninja’s sophomore full-length album OUTLIER finds itself in stores now around the world and so far, all the album media has been extremely positive. The record is looking to be a serious ARIA-chart contender, with thousands of pre-orders having rolled in. The Australian heavy music community has mobilised to the side of the Ninjas and the battle line is drawn.
After these four shows, the band will immediately jet off to the USA, where they will spend their September and October, travelling and playing festivals alongside bands such as Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, Alice In Chains and Slayer, as well as a run of shows supporting Sevendust and other shows supporting Nothing More.
Album lead single ‘Invincible’ has been doing a stellar job of doing the rounds for TFN – high rotation on triple j and Triple M Homegrown artist of the week has ensured high visibility for the band. The track shows a more serious side to their lyrics and a more direct approach musically. It has decimating riffs, artery-slashing bass drops with clear, memorable hooks.
The album was constructed with Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus) recording, re-recording, producing and mixing; mastering.
What you might not know about Twelve Foot Ninja is that their 2012 debut record SILENT MACHINE saw them clock up over 5,000,000 YouTube views, win America’s prestigious 2014 Golden Gods Award for ‘Best New Talent’, break the world record for crowdfunding a video clip, tour with some of the biggest bands in the world, and get billed on major US and European festivals.
Twelve Foot Ninja’s second studio album ‘Outlier’ is OUT NOW.
“Twelve Foot Ninja opens new doors to what the concept of rock music can be”
– Beat Magazine
“Twelve Foot Ninja are truly masters of incorporating elements into heavy music that would otherwise just sound ridiculous, and ‘Outlier’ is a shining example of heavy metal fusion done right.” – HEAVY
“[Twelve Foot Ninja] have upped the ante on the complexity and diversity of their previous release. There’s a lot that’s familiar in the Mike Patton-esque vocals, the djent style, the crunchy chugs and snappy changes, but Outlier is such a rule-breaker that it’s still unpredictable and rewarding.” – The Music
