Twelve Foot Ninja have targeted the ARIA charts with their new album OUTLIER and have bullseyed their very first chart position in their debut week. The record has scored the #6 Album in Australia in last week’s charts and is the #2 Australian Album!
OUTLIER has been welcomed to universally beaming reviews and sold out shows in the past two weeks in Australia for the release. The Twelve Foot Ninja clan now ride out to the United States to hit their North American tour dates, which includes festivals alongside artists like Deftones, Korn, Slayer, Avenged Sevenfold and more, as well as tour runs with both Sevendust and then Nothing More.
To keep the hype train running and stoked, Twelve Foot Ninja will return to home shores in Australia in November for the Australian leg of the Disturbed tour, for which they were the hand-picked support artist for all dates.
MEDIA LOVE FOR TWELVE FOOT NINJA
“There truly is no other band like Twelve Foot Ninja… Twelve Foot Ninja have earned a world-class reputation as innovators and inventors of the best (and most bizarre) that metal can be.”
– Heavy Magazine
“[Twelve Foot Ninja] schizophrenically scatter between styles, cultures and instruments, dropping djent riffs so chunky you could carve ’em.” – Rolling Stone Australia – 4/5 Stars
“…there’s nothing in the world to accurately compare [Twelve Foot Ninja‘s OUTLIER] to. That sentence alone should translate as mission accomplished for the band and must purchase for heavy music fans worldwide.”
– Music Feeds
“There’s a lot that’s familiar in the Mike Patton-esque vocals, the djent style, the crunchy chugs and snappy changes, but Outlier is such a rule-breaker that it’s still unpredictable and rewarding. The five-piece have upped the ante on the complexity and diversity of their previous release.” – The Music – 4/5 Stars
“[Twelve Foot Ninja’s] mixture of tight, heavy metal conventions is shaken up by their superb knack for cleaner, dynamic musical sections that evokes a mixture of latin and jazz styles. Whichever the case, it’s all superbly executed.”
The five-piece sold out venues over the past two weeks with their album launch shows and decimated the rooms. Heavy Mag decreed that “Twelve Foot Ninja have set the bar incredibly high. If there’s one iconic, historical quote that could perfectly describe Twelve Foot Ninja’s performance, it is simply this – “They came, they saw, they conquered” in Melbourne. In Sydney, were described as “f*%king flawless” by Rogue Inc.
Add to that, their ongoing stream of love from bands such as Periphery and unapologetic love from Sevendust‘s drummer Morgan Rose and Twelve Foot Ninja are poised to be Australia’s next big thing in heavy music across the globe – if they aren’t already.
Twelve Foot Ninja’s OUTLIER record is OUT NOW and in stores. Available from twelvefootninja.com, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, JB Hi-Fi and all good stores.
