Aaron Keylock: “Cut Against The Grain” out now
Produced by Fabrizio Grossi (Steve Vai, Alice Cooper, Slash)
Album out now on Provogue/Mascot Label Group
Touted as one of the UKs hottest acts by Kerrang!, Total Guitar, Metal Hammer & Classic Rock, 19 year old Aaron Keylock has received rave reviews in advance of his highly anticipated debut album Cut Against The Grain – out today. The young gunslinger headed to LA to record Cut Against The Grain in 2016 with producer Fabrizio Grossi who has previously worked with Alice Cooper, Dave Navarro, Slash and Zakk Wylde. The album highlights a prodigious young British rock talent completely at one with his guitar, blasting out his first songs with a raw and powerful attitude.
Cut Against The Grain is not your typical debut rock album. It showcases Americana tinged slide rock guitar in tracks such as Against The Grain, Down and Sun’s Gonna Shine. Flashes of Gary Moore haunt the epic Just One Question and All The Right Moves, a co-write with three time Ivor Novello winner and international hit writer Paul Barry (James Bay) exudes the looseness and edge of a young Rory Gallagher meets the New York Dolls circa 1973.

— DAILY MIRROR UKFrom the opening riff of All The Right Moves it appears that the UK has produced another stunning young talent in Aaron Keylock, able to combine the truly British classic 60’s and 70’s blues rock sound of Free and the Clapton, Beck, Page-era guitarists, with a modern American southern rock twist! Hints of early Black Keys or White Stripes in the stripped-down riff and drum lines combine with a greater variety of guitar sounds and raw vocals.— LIFE MUSIC MEDIA, AU
