After a long 18 months in the making, straight out of Melbourne comes the debut album from Luke Seymoup. Luke and his band entered the studio in March 2016 with Danny Brickwell (Miyazaki! – “Thank You. Fuck You. Goodbye”) to lay down the first tracks for what would become “The Professional”.
The album, mastered by John Naclerio at Nada Studios (My Chemical Romance – “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love”), features 10 tracks written by Luke from 2010 to present demonstrating the band’s self-described brand of “Punk’n’B”.
In celebration of the release, the band self-produced a video for the song “Charcoal & Oil” which has been a staple of their live show since their inception in 2014. The video is a celebration of Luke’s obsession with classic Doctor Who.
“The Professional” will be released through Whisk & Key Records and will be available through iTunes and Spotify on August 30th. Vinyl is available for pre-order now from www.whiskandkeyrecords.com/store
