Riff Raiders to release “Live It Like You Mean It” single on Aug 15, announce Melbourne launch show

Melbourne is the spiritual and physical home of pure bread rock n roll in Australia and the Riff Raiders are testament to that! They play like they mean it, with monstrous riffs, thundering drums and vocals built for good times, they are the embodyment of classic Aussie rock!

Riff Raiders began life belting out B-Sides and obscure gems from the likes of Lizzy, Sabbath and Zeppelin across the well worn covers circuit where the indie stalwarts blew away punters with their authentic approach and edgy finesse to playing rock n roll. The band were one of the very few cover acts to be accepted by the original band scene – but this was never the long term ambition of the band.riff-raiders-03

Now, Riff Raiders are preparing to unleash their hotly anticipated debut album of all original material which is due later this year. Featuring 11 tracks of riff-laden, melody driven rock. Proper. Actual. ROCK!

Setting the bar high from the start, the band will release the track  Live It Like You Mean It on August 15.

Jeff Jenkins, Senior Contributor, The Music / Rock’n’Roll author says, “
With Live Like You Mean It, the Riff Raiders have delivered a stirring love letter to rock ’n’ roll, a fist-in-the-air anthem that’s alive on arrival. This line says it all: “If rock ’n’ roll is dead then why’s this song stuck in your head?””

God gave rock’n’roll to ya, but the weekends spent sniffing vinyl in small-town junk shops, and the lunchbreaks spent browsing Cheap Trick memorabilia on eBay – that’s all you. Your latest obsession ought to be Riff Raiders: purveyors of poor impulse control, who build blistering rock hits from the guitar up. And yes, it’s a Les Paul.Jenny Valentish, Author and Journalist
