Sarah Leete releases new video for “Safe” + announces EP tour dates
“Her sound is classic, comforting country at its best”
— Music Love
Sarah Leete, one of Australia’s most exciting new country music talents, today shares the video for her debut single ‘Safe’ and announces a string of tour dates.
Directed by the ARIA-nominated and Golden Guitar finalist Josh Favaloro of The Filmery (Shane Nicholson – Second Hand Man) the video was shot on the Central Coast of NSW and features Sarah being stalked by her dog Grace through various locations in Gosford.
In keeping with the theme of her upcoming EP, the video aims to offer something a little different and rather than explore the stereotypical ‘girl meets boy’ scenario, Sarah preferred to address true, unconditional love – that experienced between a dog and its owner.
On working with Josh, Sarah says, ‘I was so excited to be given the opportunity to work with a company like The Filmery to produce my first clip. We both wanted to keep the video a little dark and also feature my dog Grace, so this is what we came up with.’
‘Safe’ comes from Sarah’s debut self-titled EP which was produced by Country Music star Catherine Britt, and was funded, along with this video, as a result of her winning the 2016 Arts NSW Young Regional Artist Scholarship. The EP is due out on November 3rd and you can catch Sarah at one of her upcoming shows.
