Crushed Veneer release ‘Kind of Blue’.
‘Kind of Blue’ by Crushed Veneer takes me back to my earlier punk/indie days. I can hear a little of MXPX in their sound. I like how the music is punk and the meaning is more indie. The tune gets stuck in my head but not in an annoying way. Watch out for this band as they keep growing and maturing.
‘Kind of Blue’ is the second single from London based 4 piece Crushed Veneer, taken from their upcoming debut EP ‘Desire and the Need to Live’. After honing these songs on the live circuit, the Crushed Veneer recorded their debut EP in November and December of last year at Soho Sonic Studios, London with engineer Oscar Moos. It was mixed and mastered by Dave Downham (Beach Slang, Pet Symmetry) at Gradwell House Recording in New Jersey, USA.
Formed in an East London practice room in early 2017, Crushed Veneer deliver a high energy blend of punk and indie rock. With influences ranging from The Gaslight Anthem and Beach Slang to Pixies and Dinosaur Jr. they layer heartfelt lyrics on a bed of hard, fast, punk rock.
