Shane Leonard is a multitalented guy, a producer, studio musician and songwriter all in one. Leaving school to become an English teacher, then he studied fiddle and banjo with Appalachian elders. Interesting career change! Shane has a new album due out this year called ‘Strange Forms’. His new single ‘Empire Builder’ is from this album. This song has a super catchy start and grabbed my attention straight away. Then Shane’s vocals came in and I knew that I would share this song. His vocals are smooth and have a unique accent that shines through. I love the meaning of the song, having a free train to take you someone but if you get on the wrong train it won’t work out the way it was meant to. Great concept! Check out ‘Empire Builder’ here.
