LA-based musician, Paul Bessenbacher AKA Opus Orange, his recording project, has released a song that I feel that should climb the charts straight away. Since listening to this song it has been in the back of my head, often coming forward for me to sing to. That to me is a sign of a good song. The music really makes the song stand out as it is like a perpetual motion that feels like it will never stop. In the events of my life right now, I needed to listen to the lyrics and act on them. Speaking my mind is something that I find verbally hard to do in person when confronted in a negative situation.I should mention also that the vocals are incredible and fit in with that perpetual motion “Tell It Like It Is” is certainly a song to listen to and add to your fav playlist. I am about to! Love this song!
Opus Orange is the recording project of LA-based musician, Paul Bessenbacher. ‘Opus’ is a nod to Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu, Opus 66 and ‘orange’, to Mingus’ “Orange Was The Color Of Her Dress”. The name embodies his ability to mesh together seemingly disparate shapes into an authentic whole. Indie Rock Cafe calls it “deliciously upbeat indie pop.” The Revue call is “oft-kilter, brilliant. highly infectious, and just ear-popping sugar candy.” The shape on Opus Orange’s upcoming album, Miles From Nowhere, is that of exuberant, heartfelt, full-band goodness.
