Pop-Punk artist Peter Gilbert has a musical project called Hated Names. The music is, in his words is based around “contemporary themes such as atheism, racial acceptance, digital connections, modern life angst and healthy masculinity.” From an early age Peter experimented with music. His debut single ‘Anthem for the Atheist’ certainly explores a contemporary theme encouraging everyone to accept one another. The song discusses how we, as humans, don’t need a myth to be able to accept each other for who we are. We can learn to do this ourselves. A great sediment. I like the momentum that ‘Anthem for the Atheist’ builds. Peter has a unique vocal sound that I love. Pretty much ‘Anthem for the Atheist’ ticks all the boxes for me for a song that deserves to be heard. You can do so here.
