‘Sorry That I’m Like This’ is Kat and the Hurricane’s latest single.
Kat and the Hurricane describe their music as a blend of pop and indie rock and their own unique title ‘Sad Lesbian Music’. Whatever it is I found their track ‘Sorry That I’m Like This’ a contagious fun song. Originally I thought, hang on, why are you apologising for being you… then I realised it was a tongue in cheek fun song. Or else I would have passed on the review. Kat and the Hurricane’s explains that “It is an ode to anyone who has been made to feel the need to apologize for existing or for being themselves. As queer, trans & non-binary musicians, this is KatH’s way of reclaiming self-doubt into an unapologetic, gender- and genre-bending anthem of self-acceptance.”
I am a big believer that accepting people who are free to be themselves is just the right thing to do. Simple as that. So I wanted to share ‘Sorry That I’m Like This’ as it is a reminder to accept people for who they are or be an (insert bad word here!). Kat and the Hurricane released their second album ‘Libra’ back in February so look out for more great songs. Listen to ‘Sorry That I’m Like This’ here.
