RAY FROST ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE ‘LUCKY TO BE ME’

British guitarist-singer-songwriter Ray Frost makes a welcome return to the airwaves this week with his new single, ‘Lucky to Be Me’’. The song is a fast-moving, melodic, toe-tapping slice of country pop featuring an infectious banjo solo.

Frost says; “I guess you could say, ‘Lucky To Be Me’ is somewhat autobiographical, because it pretty much sums up the story of my life”

Having toured the globe as guest guitarist-vocalist with iconic 60s British bands The Rubettes, Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich and Herman’s Hermits, in 2019 he decided it was high time to launch his solo career.

Having written and stored almost fifty songs, Ray reached out to his cousin Oliver Jones (Oliver is the brother of Daniel from Savage Garden) in 2019 to produce and work on his debut solo album “In My Life”.

Oliver Jones is an Australian singer, songwriter, musician, producer and mixing engineer. He has worked with several local artists including Savage Garden and Daryl Braithwaite.

Released the following year, the album’s lead single, ‘You Had Me Runnin’, was an instant hit with Australian radio programmers and delivered Ray his first top 10 hit on the Australian Country Radio chart.

‘Lucky To Be Me’ is the first single to be lifted from Ray’s new album, ‘Waiting For The Sun’
