Creed’s Epic Comeback: Highlights from the Summer of ’99 Tour

Love or hate them, Creed is back on the road with SOLD OUT shows, and mega- hits that take you back to the “Summer of ’99”.

This has been a long time coming. Fans have watched as the on again off again path of its members split, battling addiction, mental illness, and many other demons. They have come out on the other side beaten but unbroken. Stronger for having been in those circumstances and survived. The support could not have been stronger for these artists. They came out determined, it appeared to put on the show of a lifetime. Judging by buzz from the last few shows, they are doing just that. EVERY TIME.

When I am writing a review, sometimes I just have to step away from the din of public opinion, other media information and try to just bein the moment of the music. So here it is. This show was incredible. I have always been one of those at a distance observers and honestly, I wasn’t one of their biggest fans. This show feels more like a redemption, a journey out of darkness and a rebirth of a really good artistic blend of musicians. If you had asked me ten years ago, I would have said there is a better chance of pretty much any band reuniting before them.

I am glad they did. Seeing the show reminded me this was and still is a great band with some superior songs. While they each ventured into their own projects, there is something about the vibe that came from the stage. I truly found myself having a great time and appreciating every note.
