If you have not heard the amazing vocals and relatable lyrics of Sam Tompkins you are in for a treat! I found Sam Tompkins during my 3 year hiatus from this blog due to Long Covid. I had time while bed bound to find music that I could connect to while wondering if I would ever get out of chronic illness cycle. I am yet to get out of but when I heard Sam was heading down to Melbourne my home town, I had to share my passion for his music.

I found Sam via his work with Ren on Blind Eyed and I started listening to this Spotify list (thanks Pedro Cabral and I was pretty much had it on in my waking hours. Listen to this here

Sam Tompkins is well known for his Bruno Mars Cover ‘Talking to the Moon’ which showcases his incredible vocal style.

For me it is his album called ‘hi, my name is insecure’ and the single from that album called ‘Numb’ that I connected to the most. Listen to ‘Numb’ here . Especially if you have struggled with any sort illness, physically or mental. This song helped me more than Sam will ever know. Thanks Sam.
