I am delighted to share this news today! Two songs released by Josh Setterfield who has a new sound for country music. With a background in Pop punk, Josh does things his way. Being a talented writer, he is able to write songs from his heart, that are relatable and send a message. Releasing his own county version of one of my favourite songs, Simple Plans ‘Perfect’ brings this gem of a song to a new generation. Following up with a banger called ‘Unapologetic’ which is about being true to who you are puts on display the talent Josh has. His country version of Simple Plan’s ‘Perfect’ is already making its mark and his new single ‘Unapologetic’ is out everywhere November 21. This next chapter is one you don’t want to miss. First up, Josh pays tribute to his roots with a reimagined country rock take on Simple Plan’s 2000s anthem ‘Perfect’ out now. To follow comes a new sound for country music with ‘Unapologetic’ — his first original release since the ARIA #2 EP FALL, which cemented his place in the global country scene. Two songs. CHAPTER 1: PERFECT (OUT NOW)
A full-circle moment arrives with Josh Setterfield’s version of Simple Plan’s iconic hit “Perfect” — the 2000s resurgence we didn’t know we needed. Who better to bring it back to life with a modern country-rock edge than Josh Setterfield?

“This version of ‘Perfect’ is my tribute to the band that made me the person and artist I am today.” Josh says “At one of my lowest points earlier this year, I asked the universe for a sign… and it was delivered through this band again.” With Simple Plan’s official blessing and Billboard #1 Nashville producer/mix engineer, Jonathan Roach (LOCASH, Lakeview, Austin Snell) behind the new music and mixing of this track, Josh’s self-produced version fuses pop-punk nostalgia with modern country energy – setting the scene for what’s to come. Then I ended up in Nashville, presented with the same opportunity on the other side of the world. Being in Nashville with SP was like my two worlds colliding. I took this as the sign to keep going which led me to recording and releasing something I’d always wanted to do. I’ve never felt more excited about the future.”

Running with his own rulebook, Josh Setterfield has unleashed “Unapologetic”, an anthem that’s more him than ever before.
