INVENTIONS ANNOUNCE ‘I SAID GOODBYE’ MELBOURNE SINGLE LAUNCH AND MENTAL HEALTH FUNDRAISER

Melbourne-based Alt-Punk band, INVENTIONS have announced a Melbourne single launch show to promote their new single, I Said Goodbye, which will be released on Friday 25 September, 2015 via iTunes and Bandcamp.

To celebrate, the five-piece will play a show at The Toff in Town on Sunday 11th October, and will donate all profits from the launch towards national youth mental health foundation, Headspace.

The addictive new single I Said Goodbye is the first taste of the band’s new material; a self-produced gem that is lyrically weighted by the burdens and depths of depression and anxiety. The message rings clear — a cri de coeur for something brighter. In conjunction with the release, the band are partnering with Brisbane based foundation #HeavyHope (facebook.com/heavyhope) to promote awareness of youth mental illness, a cause close to their hearts.

Over-worked and speeding up, the past year has seen INVENTIONS support the likes of MewithoutYou (USA), Emery (USA), D At Sea, Masketta Fall, and Violent Soho, as well as embarking on their own Australian tour this October.
