EVOL WALKS RELEASE NEW SINGLE – WITHOUT ME
Fronted by Gold Coast born and bred Leah Martin-Brown, Gold Coast hard hitting five-piece, Evol Walks, will release their fourth single “Without Me” world-wide on January 29.
Produced by Canadian producer Brian Howes (Hinder/Airbourne/Hedley/Skillet/Simple Plan) in Los Angeles, “Without Me” is an intensely raw and powerful ballad that separates the band from their previous releases without losing their epic trademark sound.
“‘Without Me’ isn’t your typical ballad,” explains Leah. “It’s a farewell song to someone whom you used to care about very much but have now fallen out of love with”.
Having exploded on to the music scene in 2014 with their debut single “Heartbreakin’ Woman”, the five-piece have been turning heads ever since – not just in Australia but across the globe. Having largely been based in Los Angeles, Evol Walks have performed at popular Sunset Strip (Hollywood, USA) hangs such as House Of Blues and The Viper Room and have been aptly crowned as a band to watch by industry peers.
2015 saw the band release their debut EP also helmed by Brian Howes which spawned the single’s “Buzzed” (February 2015 – which was considered one of the top 4 releases to commercial radio by The Music Network the week of its radio release) and “The Other Side” (August 2015 – which was also the title track of the EP released September 2015). All singles have been embraced by the Triple M network.
2015 saw the band tour Australia twice including supporting The Lazy’s, touring the USA West Coast and were also primed as one of the “Top 4 Best Up and Coming Bands in Australia” for 2015 by Triple M during their Rocktober promotion. It didn’t stop there. The band, in the midst of a European tour, were invited to perform on the main stage at Europe’s largest music festival in front of 250,000 people at Przystanek Woodstock in Poland alongside Black Label Society, Flogging Molly and Dream Theatre. Evol Walks are only the second Australian band ever to be invited to perform on the main stage – the other being fellow heavyweights Airbourne – it is a huge cudos for a band in their youth.
Collecting influence from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and AC/DC to name a few, it’s not hard to hear how Evol Walks got to their organic blistering guitar riffs and raw powerful female vocals thus creating the ultimate Rock n Roll blend.

There is no sign of slowing down for the band with 2016 already off to a hot start, not only with the release of “Without Me” but also with an extensive tour of North America which will have them away from Australian shores for a good part of the year. They will go to from there to perform at a coveted showcase at the Global Rock Summit and Musexpo music conferences in Los Angeles in April.
“Without Me” is available on iTunes on Friday January 29 2016
