Perth-basedelectro-pop duo Leopard Lake have announce their debut, self-titled EP will be released on Friday, June 1.

To celebrate, Leopard Lake have released the final taste from the upcoming EP with new single Only Onethe original track that began the project.

Since appearing on the scene in November last year with their awesome single Thinking Of YouLeopard Lake have made fast work of immersing themselves in the scene.

As the  the next major landmark in their young career, they offer an insight into the inception of the project with Only Onethe first track the duo collaborated on.

Only One was the first track I wrote for Leopard Lake, it kind of set out the bigger picture for the project. It gave us something that we could work towards; a cohesive collection of songs,” said Sam Ford.

“Themes in this song flow throughout the EP and hold everything together.”

Only One was the first song Sam played for me in the studio. It was so different to anything I’d worked on before, the song has this dark headiness to it; lyrically and musically. The vibe is intoxicating,” said Storm Wyness.

“This is some heady, dark, driving stuff. There are some lovely nuances through there too that really give a final little dusting of magic.”
