The Velvet Collide have spent the last year touring the US to sell out crowds. Now they have released ‘Metro Love’. The music was written prior to the lyrics. The idea was to include the whole band musically however after doing this the song was written in a ballad style. Lyrically, being about a loved one it was influence by someone special as well as knowing that others will connect to the song if they are in love. I like how the song is completely unique from anything I have heard before. It is not “just another love song” but is a quirky off beat song.
