Rue Snider has returned with a new folk punk single called ‘Make Me Feel’. Rue, over the years has built an impressive music catalogue. I know that I have shared Rue’s songs and that each one is totally unique yet still appeal to me. ‘Make Me Feel’ is more an indie pop song that draws the drum beat from sounds from the indie ’00’s. In true Rue style his song has a deep meaning. Written while the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court hearings were going on, it explores how politicians are spreading hate. I applaud Rue for writing a song that highlights the idiocy of not only the US politicians but our Australian ones. The song’s bridge was inspired by the new members of congress like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley. I should mention that I adore Rue’s unique vocals and that they make ‘Make Me Feel’ stand out from the crowd. Check out ‘Make Me Feel’ here.
