Devora Wields A ” Bonesaw” In Sharp New Video

Devora's haunting new video is beautiful and disturbing all at once.

Before sitting down to have a chat with any artist I always view their latest video, and give new music a listen. This was no exception. When I answered the phone and had the proper introductions, I immediately started the conversation with "that video is so creepy, and I hope you aren't offended". She wasn't.

"It was what we were going for. Director Felicity Heath did a fantastic job." I agreed. This video which you can view at the link below, is such a contrast. This beautiful girl with perfect hair, singing, almost seductively, the hook "bonesaw in the sink". Yikes. It shows that she is very interested in the psychological sciences. "I love to read books, true crime mostly." I asked if she wasn't doing music what would she be into. I'm definitely into studying the mind. I'd be into the psychological field. " She'd probably be into a good amount of philosophy too. Given the title of the new EP it isn't much of a guess.

"God Is Dead", the title of her EP, can be a bit of a controversial title, but she came by the name honestly. "The last few year have really has people questioning 'is there a higher power'. The song came out of this." I asked her about her view of the apocalypse. If there is one what, how will it happen, let's face it, many of us felt we were there already. " I don't think it will be what people had thought it was going to be. It's more of a shift. Media shifting, people shifting, everything just different."

What may you ask is Outlaw Pop? I did. “It’s really just a reimagining of the Wild West for our Chaotic lives.” Speaking of chaotic lives, in addition to writing tons of songs, like every artist who ended up locked down, she wrote a comic book, available on the website. She has also done modeling for several brands:House of Harlow 1960 (Nicole Richie’s brand); Rebecca Minkoff, T.U.K. Footwear, Neon Cowboys, and more
