Brisbane electronic artist Meredith is gearing up to release her long-awaited debut EP, Nostalgia (Fri Jun 17) – to be launched at Black Bear Lodge on June 23. Complex and unnassuming, vulnerable and empowered; Nostalgia is a debut ripe with honesty. It’s an exploration of the human condition on a personal, almost claustrophobic level – so don’t be surprised if you feel a sharp tug of a few heartstrings you didn’t even know you had anymore. There’s no holding back here – current single ‘How Could You Believe That’ delves into the dark consequences that toxic, mentally manipulative relationships can have on a social circle. |
From the 2014 release of her debut single ‘Jumpin Beds’, Meredith has been pricking industry & audience ears with relentless ambition. The song was spun on triple j and received love from across the blogosphere – and its follow-up ‘Levels’ only built on this, also snagging airplay on triple j, clocking up almost 300k plays on Spotify and making it into the Spotify UK Viral 50 charts. Meredith has shared stages with talents such as San Cisco, The Once (CAN), Avaberee and Machine Age, with her live show becoming more & more focused on live electronica.
Nostalgia will be released on Friday June 17 and will launch at Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane on Thursday June 23.
