Jared Geyer, Greg Olin, and Kevin Holmes from Arizona all went to school together and have remained friends and formed a band called WESLYNN. They have achieved many dreams including headlining festivals and sharing the stage with acts eg From Indian Lakes. With this success the boys have had issues and tragedy that have inspired their music.
Greg Olin tells us about this, “Everything we have been through has brought us closer together. We have individually had so many personal trials, but when we start playing music, it all fades away. The world is constantly changing & throwing tragedy into our lives, but WESLYNN has given us the opportunity to rally around each other and made us even closer friends. This music is a direct response to those hard times of love and loss.”
Music is an amazing medium that can help listeners but can also be cathartic for those who write the songs. WESLYNN has taken a year off to regroup and some healing. They have come back refreshed with their new single ‘Strangers’. This is written for people who feel like ghosts in their own clothes. I can relate to that at times. I adore the vocals, smooth, clear and an excellent sound. To add to the vocals, in the chorus is some really sweet as harmonies. I commend the lyrics that are cleverly written and are full of meaning. ‘Strangers’ is definitely a song to listen to. A must to do so today!
