White Prism releases new single called ‘Good Man’.

Processed with VSCO with m3 preset

Composer, producer and vocalist Johanna Cranitch has a new project called White Prism. Born in Australia, Johanna had a classical musical household and studied jazz in college. Working as an assistant recording engineer in NYC prior to joining bands The Cranberries and Nina Persson (The Cardigans) as a background vocalist and keyboard player. She has been working that last few years on her own music and is now ready to share it with the world. ‘Good Man’ has just been released.  When I first listened to this song I was blown away by the quality of the vocals. Absolutely beautiful. ‘Good Man’ was written after a bad spell with Johanna’s then husband. The song is about fighting for what you believe in, fighting for love and fighting to be on the right side of history. While Johanna wrote the lyrics the news came that Trump had attacked the health care bill in the courts effectively taking away transgender rights to the health care act. Johanna felt that it was an assault on freedom in America. It was only the beginning. Very meaningful lyrics for Americans to stand together against Trump. From an outsider looking at what is happening in the US, I am astounded that it was possible for Trump to win. Now with impeachment in process who knows what will happen. Anyway back to the song. ‘Good Man’ really is a showcase for Johanna’s incredible vocals as well as having a good meaning. Take a listen to ‘Good Man’ here.
