Barrett Crake is a hard working DIY artist that has created a network for himself of collaborators internationally via internet and remote studios. This Electronic pop artist has just released a new single called ‘Make a Move’ that was written via self reflection after experiencing some difficulty writing due to chronic anxiety. This song is to encourage others to make positive changes in their lives.
Barrett explains” I wanted to write a song to remind myself and others that making zero progress is more painful than occasionally making the wrong decision. It’s more important than ever during tumultuous times to listen to that gut feeling. It’s never too late to start changing your life for the better. One small step at a time is better than no steps at all.”
This encouragement message that it is never too late to make changes that can help you, and that no step is too small is admirable. We all need some focus on our mental health right now. I am in Week 6 of full lock down and I know that even a small thing each day can help. Listening to music such as ‘Make a Move’ is one of the many things that I do daily to cope. Music is powerful! The vocals in the song are gently encouraging as well which adds to the impact. I admire artist for making music true to themselves with the potential to help so many listeners. Barrett Crake is certainly one of these artists. Take a listen to ‘Make a Move’ here.
