The Velvet Addiction release rocking music video for new single “Stuck On You”

Swaggering, classic rockers The Velvet Addiction have released a music video for new single Stuck On You, the jamming lead track from their freshly announced debut EP ‘Volume 1’ to be released on Friday, October 27.

To celebrate the release of ‘Volume 1’, The Velvet Addiction will be kicking on a tour through Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart and Melbourne.

Stuck On You is the definitive song for The Velvet Addiction crafting a punching track that would leave an impression on new and faithful listeners in the lead up to their debut release.

“The single is about the insanity that lies in being attached to the idea of someone rather than loving that person for who they are,” said vocalist, Stefan West.

“Stuck On You
came about right around the time the band was pushing to find a sound that represented us. Sleazy, riffy, upbeat rock,” said guitarist, Aaron Bach.

Stuck On You
was produced by George Carpenter who has worked with the likes of The Delta Riggs, Waxhead, Ash Grunwalk and the Babe Rainbow.

Debut EP ‘Volume 1’ will be the explosive climax of what has a massive year for The Velvet Addiction after unleashing party-starter singles Take Me Back, and I Won’t Go.

The EP will lay the foundation for the future of The Velvet Addiction cementing and embracing their party first, worry later identity.

“‘Volume 1’ is about us. Not always prepared, not completely in time, not always making sense and definitely not trying to reinvent the wheel. Just us, raw, honest and loud” said Bach.

Beyond the party, The Velvet Addiction are four mates who came together to overcome histories of broken homes and family violence. There is a real heart to this music.

Heartbroken and misunderstood lyrics that sometimes say too much, all driven by the calmest maniac you’ll meet,” said bassist, Lukas Harris about drummer Kieren Howle.

Good things never usually come of a substance-fueled night out, but this four-piece, rock’n’roll band wouldn’t be the same without its shady past. Guitarist Aaron Bach and singer Stefan West met in the murky blur of a local Melbourne bar, bassist Lukas Harris joined though shared musical history and drummer Kieran Howle was initiated after a boozy night out. Sharing dark pasts, it was from the rubble of family violence, broken homes and way too much of a good thing that The Velvet Addiction rose. The formation of this nostalgic, sweat dripping leather ripping band is proof that rock’n’roll can shake life back into an ugly soul.
